Sedge Meadow - Bird Walk

  • Sedge Meadow Forest Preserve (map)

Sedge Meadow is one of the best warbler and spring migrant sites in Lake County.  It has a good mix of habitat with river edge, oak hardwoods, willow thickets, and wetland ponds.  At this date, we should be able to observe by sight or sound the many flycatchers such as eastern pewee, willow, great crested, yellow bellied, least, and olive sided.
